DOSBox 0.74-2 has been released! A maintenance release for DOSBox 0.74, which solves the following problems: Windows: Fix auto/max cycles algorithm on Windows 7, which helps with stuttering audio. Mac OS X: Bring a 64 bit version and improve performance. Linux: Fix the 64bit dynrec cpu core and a lot of compilation problems. An extensive list of all configuration options in the dosbox.conf file can be found at the dosbox.conf page on the DOSBox wiki. Mounting of a CD-ROM drive. Perhaps you've got a CD-rom lying around with a cool DOS game on it. Installing of the game in Windows doesn't work, but you can do that in DOSBox instead. Magic Dosbox is working well so I just want to share my experience with you guys. I probably have installed Windows 95 on my tablet more than 50 times in past one month. I tried all different sorts of settings to test out what Win95 on M-Dosbox can do. In fact, my main goal was to run Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Windows 95 will now begin installation. To have Windows start up automatically when starting DOSBox, you could edit your config to contain the following under autoexec: Code: Select all autoexec imgmount c c.img boot c.img In a little while, Windows 95 will be installed. Note that the best way to run Windows 95 under DOSBox is with machine=svgas3, core=normal and cputype=pentiumslow. I'm actually not sure about core=normal being the best choice (qbix mentioned that the dynamic core is probably as safe to use as the normal core), but it's the oldest and most tested.

Windows Me On Dosbox

Review title of Antonio MariaIt's a start...

I was surprised to see a DOSBox port here and it's nice to have it here on W10M. However, this is far from perfect. First, the emulator still has problems with mouse detection (Seawolf, for example), which is quite annoying for some games. Others seem to have major visual glitches (like Dune). But the thing that makes this port subpar comparing to Android ones (I have Dosbox Turbo on my Shield) is the absence of notable features, such as support for Xbox controllers (only MOGA are supported), a UI for changing important DOSBox settings (you can only do that through the text editor) and a comfortable way for individual games' presets. There is also no help file apart from a link to DB's original Wiki website (which doesn't help for app-specific things) and no way (from what I can see) to customize the on-screen keyboard. Finally, the developer seems at times...rude. Just look at his replies to a legitimate question asking why Continuum is not supported. The dev is missing the point.

Xbox support is coming (be patient), same as Continuum support (but as for work on the big screen, good workaround is available since app launch). BTW, it's not a reason to rate unique app so low! If you don't like my implementation, try to install any other 'DOSBox' port from the Windows Store (if you can find it of cause! :) ).
