Microsoft Visual C 2013 Runtime

  • For example, after you install an update for an x86-based application, the x64 Visual C 2013 runtime libraries are missing. This fix makes sure that both versions of the Visual C redistributable are visible when you add or remove programs after installation of the update.
  • These packages install run-time components of these libraries: C Runtime (CRT), Standard C, MFC, C AMP, and OpenMP. To find out what's new in Visual Studio 2015, see the Visual Studio 2015 Release Notes. For a list of fixed bugs and known issues, see the Visual Studio 2015 KB Article.

On 64-bit systems, the Acrobat XI or Acrobat DC installer tries to install the Microsoft Visual C (x64) runtime if it doesn't find it on the system. I'm currently developing an windows universal app. I'm using sqlite, which works fine for the Windows 8.1 Project, but fails for the Windows Phone Project ('sqlite3.dll not found'). I think it has something to do with the missing SDK reference to 'Microsoft Visual c++ 2013 Runtime Package for Windows Phone'.

There is no opton for this SDK, when trying to add it over:Add reference -> Windows Phone 8.1 -> Extensions

I tried to repair visual studio 2015 community and install 'Microsoft Visual c++ 2013 Redistributable' but the problem still persists

EDIT:

After updating my OS to Win10 and reinstalling VisualStudio 2015 (which both haven't resolved my problem), I finally was able to fix it:

I just copied the missing SDK directories from another developer machine to my machine. After that, it worked but I have still no clue about the underlying problem..

I've faced with the absolutely same issue: 'sqlite3.dll not found' and no option to add reference to 'microsoft visual c++ 2013 runtime package for windows phone'.I was able to resolved that by uninstalling visual studio 2013 (which was also installed on that PC)

Once the command prompt opens, type the following command.net user administrator /active:yes4. Uninstall cygwin windows 10. Right-click on cmd listed and click on “ Run as Administrator”.3.

Runtime

Issue:

How to remove and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries in order to correct a problem with Autodesk software, such as a 'general failure' during installation (due to a conflict with installer prerequisites) or any type of misbehavior or crash during normal operation.

Solution:

Uninstalling Visual C++ is done the same as other programs. The different versions and components will be listed in Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs for Windows XP). To uninstall Microsoft Visual C++:
  1. Open Programs and Features from the Windows Control Panel (or Add or Remove Programs for Windows XP). A simple way to bring this up on non-Windows XP systems is to type 'programs and features' in the search field at the bottom of the Start menu.

  2. In the search field at the top right, type in 'c++ redist' (without quotations).

  3. Uninstall everything that shows 'Microsoft Visual C++' and 'Redistributable' (which should be the entire search results list).

Download and install all of the following:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable (x86 and x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Update 5 Redistributable Package (x86 and x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 Redistributable (x86 and x64)

  • The file names for each download are the same, so be sure to not overwrite a prior one before installing it. Download one, install it, then download the next, install it, etc.
  • Both the x86 and x64 versions are needed on 64-bit systems. Only the x86 versions will work on 32-bit systems.
  • Beginning with the 2012 version of Visual C++, Microsoft provides the x86 and x64 downloads through the same link. Select both files in the list and download them.
  • Version 2013 of Visual C++ is a special download. From the above link, choose both the x86 and x64 versions for your locale.

Alternative Reinstaller

As an alternative, there is an all-in-one installer sponsored by Major Geeks.com which will automatically uninstall and reinstall all Visual C++ libraries, including updating Visual C++ 2015 to the newer, rebranded 2017. All products that use 2015 should still function with 2017.
