Hello guys and girls,
I want to tell you a little story about my issues with default (broken) windows bluetooth stack on Windows 10 for desktop.
Intel Bluetooth Stack Windows 10
Apr 22, 2015 Certain Bluetooth dongles on PCs use what is called the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. Depending on what you want to do, it may not be compatible with certain bluetooth devices. Today I will show you.
Jun 17, 2018 Get Bluetooth to work with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. This small freeware utility will try to install generic Microsoft driver for your bluetooth adapter. Windows 10 bluetooth driver free download - Windows 10, Apple Safari, Bluetooth for Windows 10, and many more programs. I'm trying to use bluetooth with python, and I came across a module - pybluez. Right then, I tried installing it by running pip install pybluez. The package was located and downloaded, but it raise. How different is the bluetooth stack on the desktop than the one on the Windows 10 in the Lumia phones?! Why my headset is constantly disconnecting with the built-in stack?! I can search through the forums that this issue has been experienced by lots of users all with different headset devices. Why can't you fix your bluetooth since windows 8?! I'm having problem finding ralink bluetooth drivers for windows 10. Can anybody guide. When i try to install windows 8.1 drivers for bluetooth it gives certain problem. If i turn bluetooth off and then back on it stops responding and then i have to restart system. Kindly resolve the issue. Windows Phone doesn't include quick toggles for settings like Bluetooth, but we add that feature. Digging into settings every time you want to turn Bluetooth on/off is a pain, and this app brings.
First of, my devices:
MS Surface Pro3 (core i5 version)- Tablet with Marvell Bluetooth - v4.1
ThinkPad E540 with Intel bluetooth - v4.0
Bluedio T3 Turbine headset - Bluetooth v4.2 + EDR LP - supports almost every bluetooth profile you can think of.
So I bought those headphones because of the reviews, price and low-powered bluetooth support and lack of cable mess. After I unboxed it, I've immediately connected it to my iPhone - it was working like a charm... I was happy. However when i got home I tried connecting it to my Surface thinking - 'Oh finally got a wireless headset, now my life will get better due to the lack of cables and other stuff' - However, guess what ?
No - my life became miserable. The headphones connected fine, however after 3 minutes they just got mute and I was left without audio. Then i heard notification on the headset stating - connected, I had sound for another minute, then they got disconnected again and again and again and again... I thought it was an issue with the bluetooth of my Surface, so i've connected them to my ThinkPad laptop, but the same issue appeared. After a couple of device removals, my bluetooth on the laptop became broken, so I've uninstalled the bluetooth device a couple of times, tried updating the drivers, downloading 3rd party drivers directly from intel, not from Lenovo... but the same...
At the end I managed to get the bluetooth working again on the laptop, however it was not pairing with the headphones... so i found by reading through lots of junk in the search engine about this old application that we all used to use 10 years ago (this is not an advertisement - it's just comparison) - Blue Soleil... I was going so mad that I wanted to throw my laptop and surface out the window, and said myslelf - you got nothing to loose - install it ! I've installed it, and searched for my headphones - it connected !! And the connection was never lost again. Now my main issue is that I need to switch between audio headphones and Headset profiles through this application. Because this does not happen automatically as with the built-in bluetooth stack in Windows.
Now Microsoft please explain to me why my headset works fine with Lumia 930, Lumia 735, iPhone and old Android device or even MacBook Air, but not with Windows 10 on a Surface or Laptop ?! How different is the bluetooth stack on the desktop than the one on the Windows 10 in the Lumia phones ?!
Why my headset is constantly disconnecting with the built-in stack ?! I can search through the forums that this issue has been experienced by lots of users all with different headset devices. Why can't you fix your bluetooth since windows 8?!
I was actually thinking of returning the surface product and possibly purchasing an iPad Pro (which I don't really want to do!)
This is some kind of madness... I've tried changing drivers, uninstalling devices, disabling power-management, trying voodoo stuff, but my headset always looses the connection with the default bluetooth stack and sometimes it connects as a headset only, sometimes as headphones, sometimes it does not reconnect at all. This happens randomly every 1-3-5-7 minutes... Sometimes right after I stop the music, sometimes even while playing. And no, this is not related to interference or low signal.
Sorry for my long rant, any help will be really appreciated.
