I have the active x control installed. It's listed in IE11 as RSClientPrint 2008 Class. It works except for the fact it won't pick up the system default printer. It just defaults to the first printer in the list, and I have to change it every time I want to print. It tried copying the dll files to 'C: Windows Downloaded Program Files' and register the rsclientprint.dll using regsvr32 command. The dll is registered successfully but the SSRS reports still prompts me to install the Add-On even after registering the dll manually. The Add-on is also cannot be seen in the list of available add-on in IE. For me, extracting the RSClientPrint. files from RSClientPrint-x86.cab located in the SSRS installation folder and then registering them using REGSVR32.EXE solved the problem. As per Kodyaz, this installation needs to be done on each client PC / Citrix XenApp / Terminal Server that users will use to connect to the SSRS report site.
I'm definitely missing something - as this technet article mentions installing only once... it's popping for every single 'print'.
